This is the page where we list our educational and professional accomplishments, so it's going to be a little thin. I'm a high-school dropout who got her GED in 1975 and never advanced to any higher education. Fortunately, it didn't bother me a bit, I was so burned out on the education system I had been exposed to, it never occurred to me to want to go back to school. I've always been a voracious reader but didn't feel the urge to write.
I've always been an obsessive learner. Very often as soon as I feel I've mastered a skill to my satisfaction, I move on to another obsession. Unfortunately, this trait is usually seen as a bad thing, at least when it comes to earning a living or 'getting somewhere in the world', although it's made me happy. I've discovered that this is called being a 'multipotentialite', at least Emily Wapnick thinks so. I do too.
I joined this English Composition 101 course to learn to write better. For a couple of years I had a photo blog called 'The Don and Lisa Show'. The premise was the stories I wanted to tell about my husband's and my life for a set amount of time. We have a theory about life-if you call the less pleasant parts Adventures, it helps a lot. In essence I was producing the narrative of my life. After a bit more of a break, I may take it up again.
